back button Trojan records are at the moment releasing much of their back catalog and have issued this gem. It is the original Jamaican Memories album (1968) issued on the Blue Cat label  + 16 bonus tracks, A and B-sides also from the Blue Cat label. It contains four suburb tracks. Two instrumentals,  Sound and Music by The Soul Brothers and Moody Ska by Tommy McCook, vintage Treasure Isle sound produced by Duke Reid. The fast and catchy I've Got Your Number by Dermott Lynch and the soulful Try A Little Tenderness from Joe White, stand out from the other 28 tracks on this very good compilation. On the back cover they wrongly credit Delroy Wilson singing A Fool, which is Alton Ellis. Lets hope more from Blue Cat reissues will follow in the future. Issued on Blue Cat CD Trojan TJACD014.
