This is a superb collection of mainly B sides that have been put togerther and play seamlessly from one track to the next. Slow soulful jams from the sixties golden age of soul. The Lowrider tag comes from their love of classic US automobiles modified to cruise the city streets of southern California. Record label owner, DJ and promoter Sean Hampsey has teamed up with fellow DJ Ruben Molina, one of the genre’s participants and authorities to produce Kent’s CD tribute to the scene and style. Worth the purchase price just to have 'I'm A Lonely Man' by Bobby Burn which has sold for a four figure sum on the original Chant record label, sadly the B side 'I'm A Dreamer' has not been included. 'I'm A Lonely Man' was also issued on Gamble, but with the artists credited as Bobby Wilburn but is worth a lot less to collectors . Included is a very informative booklet with notes by Ady Croasdell who also supervised this project. Great CD to start 2019. Issued on KENT Soul CDKEND 482.
